2 Sketches 4 You Kazan's Sketch 24
I am finally back to card and craft making this weekend. Those of you who are close to me already know that my little boy has been sick and he was in the hospital. He is doing better and has had no more problems. My cousin's (who is more like my little brother) wedding is coming up soon, so I used Kazan's wonderful sketch to make his card. I used black colorblok paper and the white paper is from my scrap box. The ribbon is from Offay and Country Silk. The beautiful wedding dress is from A Touch of Jolee's. The Congratulations rub-on is by American Crafts.
I needed a gift tag as well. So this is my take on a matching one. All the supplies are the same.
Yesterday it was almost 80 degrees outside and sunny. After my husband got home from work we took Cameron over to the park to play. He loves to slide. The playground is beside of the lake's spillway . Yesterday was Cameron's first trip down to the water, but he just got to throw rocks in. Next we are going to try fishing.

Linnecards Card-Ability Challenge #4
This is the first card I have worked on in over 2 weeks. My little boy and I have both been sick. I feel much better, but he still feels a little under the weather. We have had such pretty springtime weather for the past few days, but it is raining out today. Maybe it will help my tulips to bloom.
This is the second time I have joined in at the Linnecards Challenge blog. They always have such great sketches and this week has been one of my favorites. For this card I used: Paper-Making Memories, K by Marcella, and the Paper Company. The cute bird image is by Pink Petticoat. It is colored with Pebbles Chalk.

2 Sketches 4 You
Spring? (Pink Elephant and Linnecards Challenges)
It was so pretty outside yesterday. My little boy and I were out almost all day. We had so much fun. Cameron got a John Deer Power Wheel for Christmas this past year, that he was afraid of until yesterday. He almost drove it all the way across our backyard, then he jumped off and said "I go swing". Which has to be his favorite outdoor activity. The picture at the bottom I took on accident. But I thought it turned out kind of cool.
This card I made for two challenges. It is the first time I combined two challenges. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be. The Pink Elephant challenge this week was to use ribbon and die cuts. Then Linnecards Card-Ability was a sketch. I used sold colored card stock in white, light blue and navy blue. I used offray ribbon for the bow. Then the BOY die cuts is from American Traditional Designs. I used blue ink to highlight it.

2 SKETCHES 4 YOU LAURA'S SKETCH 20
Well, eastern Ky is expecting more snow tonight. Not much of a change there. Today my little one decided he liked Thomas the Train. All day long, we have watched the same episode of the "cho cho". To bad a different episode only comes on once a week.
This week's sketch was so much fun. I used yellow card stock as my background and top layers. The yellow and white middle layer is paper from Frances Meyer, Inc. The bow is made from navy blue netting material. I used blue ink, a lot of blue ink. The little bear image is a download from Pink Petticoat. They have lots of cute little items. The Thinking of You sticker is by paper crafts.

2 Sketches 4 You Kazan's Sketch 20
The 2 Sketches 4 You challenge this week was a big challenge for me. So I dug through all my supplies and this is what I came up with. My nephew is turning 3 today, so this is his birthday card. I started with plain white card stock. I then used a scrap piece of polka dot material and used red thread to outline it. I used left over ribbon and button. The tag is by K&Company. The sticker are extras from a scrapbook project.

Pink Elephant- Challenge 2
This week's Pink Elephant challenge was to create a card with some sparkle. This challenge was so much fun. I got a chance to use some of my goodies that I don't often use. For this card I used blue card stock as a background. I cut the foiled floral paper(Heidi grace designs-midnight kisses) in a curve. I added a shimmering iridescent ruffle ribbon(Offray). The daises are by Martha Stewart, I added some glitter glue to them. Letters are from K&Company Glittered Twinkle Type.

Pink Elephant Challenge
Happy Valentine's Day. I have been without electricity for almost 3 days. We had some really bad thunderstorms on Tuesday, and the power came back on last night. My little boy, Cameron, loves the Backyardigans on Nick Jr. This is his Valentine's Day present. It's a giant Pablo cuddle pillow. He just loves it.
This is the Pink Elephant's first card challenge and it is my first color challenge. For this card I used plain white card stock as a base. I cut out the center leaving a 1/2" boarder all the way around. I then used my Autumn Leaves Stamps on the outside boarder with pink ink. The center of the card I made using Lori's weaving technique. I the black and white paper I used is form Me and My Big Ideas and The Paper Company. The pink and White polka dot bow is made from Offray Ribbon. I added a Miss Elizabeth's birthday sticker and the pink flower is a scrap from another project.

2 Sketches 4 You
My card this week is made from K & Company specialty paper and Valentine's stickers. The pink textured paper is from Provo Craft, with a little of offray white ribbon. I have been dying to use my K & Company paper and this challenge was the perfect chance.
Eye Candy? I don't know about that, but these are my two guys at the playground. This pic is from this past summer. Jason, my husband is not to big on pictures. It's just to bad for him that I love to take them.

2 SKETCHES 4 YOU
My 2Sketches 4 you card this week has been a challenge. I looked for ideas everywhere, but today in my part of the world the temp is up to 70. Temps that warm remind me of new spring blooms. So, I created a flower pot. It is made of brown card stock. I just cut it into the shape. The stem is green card stock that was cut and then stitched through. The flower is scrap material glued on white card stock. I then used glitter glue on top. I just used a simple pink button for the center of the flower. The friends sticker if from Heidi Grace. I can't wait to try next weeks sketch.

BLOG AWARDS AND VALENTINE'S DAY CARDS
My first blog award ever!!! Amber sent it to me almost a week ago. You know I am a new blogger and it's took me that long to figure out what to do with it.
Okay my seven favorite things would have to be:
1. Cameron, my little boy
2. Jason, my husband
3. All my other family and friends
4. Any kind of craft stuff
5. Books I've not read yet
6. My pets (Ozzie, Sammie, Bailey,& Jethro are my dogs. Sassy and Dora are my cats)
7. Days off
I love Valentine's Day cards. They are always so pretty. It must have something to do with all that pink and hearts. I used card kits that I bought last year. They are from Paper Magic Group Crafts. Everything was included that you would need. I used the kits to make 8 different cards.
Bonnie sent me some more blog awards. Yeah!!

Bonnie's blog awards included going to your picture file and picking your 6Th picture and telling about it. Well, here is mine. This is a picture of Cameron and me. He was 14 months old in this picture. This is before we bought our house, so this picture was taken in our apartment. I always joke saying that I am never in any pictures because I am always the one taking them. This day I wanted a picture of me and Cameron together. We are sitting in the floor of our kitchen. You can see the stove behind us. I held out the camera and took the picture.

Florals for February
It's already February. I recently received my new scrapbook kit in the mail. It's full of all kinds of floral prints. Creative Imaginations' Renae's House is beautiful spring time paper. The felt flower is from American crafts. The ribbon is made from left over fabric from my little boy's Halloween costume 2 years ago.
The patterned paper is once again from the Creative Imaginations' Renae's House, as is the purple tag. The butterfly is from Jolee's boutique. The paper ribbon is hand stitched across.

I MADE THESE CARDS THE OTHER DAY. THE BACKGROUND PAPER IS FROM A PAPER PAD BY ME AND MY BIG IDEAS. THE PINK PAPER IS THE NEW RASPBERRY FIZZ FROM PAPERTRAY INK. IT WAS A GIFT FROM AMBER.

I LOVE THE BACKGROUND PAPER FOR THIS CARD, BUT I LOVE ANYTHING WITH BUTTERFLIES. I AGED THE EDGES WITH A LITTLE BIT OF BROWN INK AND ADDED SOME LEFT OVER TRIM.
